"An argument over the use of “illegal narcotics” resulted in Thursday’s fatal shooting of Niceville resident Jonathan Tyler Harvard.

Lovejoy Cassie Ponthieux, who identified herself to Crestview police as Harvard’s fiance, has been charged with second degree murder.

Crestview Police Maj. Andrew Schneider said investigators continue to look into the nature of the relationship between Ponthieux and Harvard.

A Rocky Mount man has been charged with felony child abuse following the death of his 7-year-old grandchild, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
