Parents Of Infant Arrested On Child Abuse Charges

A Doña Ana County Sheriff’s detective arrested Idali Genoveva Ortiz-Munoz, 21 and Christian De La Torre, 23 for alleged child abuse and alleged failure to report child abuse or child neglect to law enforcement or Child Protective Services.

The investigation began on Dec. 25, after El Paso Children’s Hospital personnel referred the case to DASO, suspecting child abuse.

A Rocky Mount man has been charged with felony child abuse following the death of his 7-year-old grandchild, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
