Mom Charged In Daughter's Death After Giving Her Unprescribed Medication

A Boonton mother was charged after she admitted giving unprescribed medications to her 11-year-old daughter, who was found dead in her apartment Monday, court documents show.

Shay Mooney, 34, was charged with child endangerment after police responded to a call of a deceased child and found Mooney's daughter unresponsive next to a bottle of prescription drugs, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
